Formal dress

Hello there! approximately a month ago I was wondering where I should get my formal dress from [The dress I liked was the 2010 asymmetrical silk dress by Lanvin, ohh so pretty [also impossible]], after heavy discussion my sister managed to convince my mum that I should make a dress.
Oh the power of my Sister. . . .  the date 2/08/11 I have been making a floor length, peachy-pinky-nude coloured chiffon dress.

I actually wanted to make something like this
eh.. it's kind of sort of similar

Today I finished ^_^
Well, actually before that I made a mannequin, I've said this before- it's quite ugly [but hey, it does the job]. Basically you just put on a piece of clothing and sew it on as form fitting as possible, then stuff it with newspaper [and then you put a bra on it (optional)].

 Hey mann! ...

I got the material with my Sister when she came here on holiday ^_^

You can make a pattern by putting a dress on your mannequin and follow the shape.

Pretty neat sewing right? [it's the only part]

 progress...
The under layer complete =]

Are you ready for a series of blurry pictures?

 Final Tadaa!!
The inside is incredibly...

Kind of sick of sewing now, I feel like the kid who ate too much cake.
I need to sleep and do art and graphics.

Thanks to my Sister, Mum&Aunt,Dad and my wonderful friends who always support me ^__^

So sleepy [especially in dimly lit areas]

Good night!!

It's the holidays ^^

Computer's been updated but the system didn't mix well with pixelmator so I lost the photos of my recent crochet project =[
I have been semi-productive and I have made a mannequin, it is quite ugly.
I have also started new artworks, they are quite 'abstract' [cough cough].
I have gotten my serial number for vectorworks today, and installed it.

To the readers/reader of my blog I present some nostalgic photos . . .

I should have stood still to take it's photo.

Three random facts you ought to know:
~ It is currently snowing a little, and I haven't seen that in 'yonks', I hope it gets deep enough to play in ^>^
~ I'm eating raaaamen and it is delicious.
~ The new version of blogger doesn't have the font 'lucida grande'
~ [update] it stopped snowing, and our driveway has melted all the snow, we currently have a thin layer of slushy mixture over our driveway T.T

here's a picture of my dog:

*Yawn*
She's soo fluffy!!!

Have a goodnight =]

Totoro Teeee-shirt

♫ Lisztomania - Phoenix

Screen Printing ~
I learnt from http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0H_utRjIGsc The beauty guru Bubzbeauty from youtubeland, her videos are always good to watch. I've wanted to do this since this video first came out =.=

I didn't have any organza or PVA so I guess it isn't really screen printing, just printing...
anyway...

The Easy Visual Guide to [kind of] screen printing a tee shirt

Ingredients:

- T-shirt
- Tape
- Paper to draw your design
- Card
- Sticker Paper [The type you get stickers on, contact paper is good if you have it]
- Sponge
- Scissors
- Pencil
- Craft Knife
- Paint

1. Pick your design of choice and draw out a stencil. [Also lightly pencil in the position of the elements on your T-shirt.]
2. Transfer you design onto a piece of cellotape on stickpaper or contact paper.
3. Cut out the part which will be painted in.
4. Stick onto the corresponding areas of your T-shirt.
5. Slip the piece of card inside the shirt [so that it doesn't stain through], blot away with your paint and sponge.
6. Repeat, wait for it to dry & then iron on wax paper.

*Tada*
Screen printing is a really neat idea, you can make something special out of something plain, I mean this is a men's t-shirt... [it was only $6.00].

*Tip: Men's section usually have cheaper T's

Byebye, it's complex numbers time ~.~
